Services

Bespoke / Custom Clothing
PoldaPop Designs began when owner, Lisa Polderman, discovered a need in her community for locally-made custom clothing for women.  We create skirts, dresses, jackets, and handbags to your specifications, or we can replicate a favorite garment in your wardrobe (without destroying the original garment).  Our work ranges from re-creating a favorite knit top to custom bridal and evening gowns.

To place an order, contact us at poldapop@gmail.com to book an initial appointment.  We will discuss style and fabric options and can provide guidance on what will be most flattering to your body type.  In most cases, we will then create a "muslin" of the garment (quick make with muslin fabric) and conduct 1-2 fittings to perfect the fit and check the style.  The garment will then be re-made with the fashion fabric.  Before the garment is complete we will conduct one more fitting in order to make any final adjustments.

Alterations
We offer high quality alteration services for ready-to-wear and bridal garments.  This can range from hemming a skirt to complex jacket alterations.  We can also hem designer jeans while keeping the original stitching in tact.

Wardrobe Consultation
Every woman we know has pieces in her wardrobe that need new life.  That new life can be achieved by mixing and matching the items in a new way, refashioning them into something fresh, doing simple alterations to improve their fit, or when it's time, facing retirement straight on in order to make space for something new.

We will go through your wardrobe with you to find the pieces that are working and those that are not.  We will help you find new combinations so that you can use what you have effectively.  We will help you get new life out of old pieces by refashioning or altering the fit.  We will also haul off the items that need a new home.

$60 for spring/summer or fall/winter
$110 for a full wardrobe makeover
$25/hour for alterations and refashioning work
